When back or neck pain follows you from the moment you wake up until you try to sleep, your whole life starts bending around it. You stop picking up your child, cut walks with your dog short, and watch your spouse carry more at home. The pain can make you feel trapped in your own body and afraid this is simply your life now. At Health Builders, we offer chiropractic care for back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal problems that are interfering with how you move and live.
What Is Chiropractic Care?
Constant pain can make you feel trapped inside a body you no longer trust . You may lie awake because every position hurts, then begin the morning already exhausted. You may brace before standing, avoid lifting your child, shorten walks with your dog, or leave your spouse to handle work around the house that you used to share. After a while, the loss of independence can hurt almost as much as your back or neck. You may feel physically broken, guilty, angry, and scared that the pain will become permanent.
At Health Builders, chiropractic care starts with what pain has taken from you and what you need your body to handle again. Dr. Brett Fuller asks where the pain began, what brings it back, and which movements you have stopped trusting. He examines the painful area, explains what he finds, and talks you through the treatment he recommends. Care can begin during your first visit once he has enough information to treat you safely. Progress is judged by your real life, including sleep, work, lifting, walking, exercise, parenting, and the responsibilities you want to take back.

How Chiropractic Care Works at Health Builders
Your appointment begins with the pain that is changing your life. The visit moves from listening to examination, explanation, treatment, and a plan for checking whether daily life is actually getting easier.
01
Tell Us What the Pain Has Changed in Your Life
Tell us where it hurts, how long it has been there, and how much of your day now revolves around it. We ask about sleep, work, driving, lifting, your child, your dog, exercise, and the work your spouse has taken over. This gives the appointment a real purpose beyond naming a painful area.
02
Show Us the Movements That Make the Pain Worse
Show us what happens when you bend, stand, turn, reach, walk, or lift. We look for the painful catch, stiffness, weakness, or hesitation that makes you brace before moving. The exact movement becomes something we can compare as treatment continues.
03
We Examine the Painful Area
Dr. Fuller examines the area and checks motion, strength, sensation, reflexes, or balance when those checks apply. He also reviews past injuries, surgery, medicines, and prior imaging. These details help determine whether hands-on care can begin or whether testing or another clinician is needed first.
04
We Explain What We Found
You receive a plain explanation of which joints, muscles, or movements appear to be involved. We explain what we recommend, why we recommend it, and which activities may need to change for a time. We also explain any reason imaging or another type of care should come first.
05
Choose a Treatment Approach You Are Comfortable With
Before treatment begins, Dr. Fuller explains how you will be positioned, how much pressure or movement he plans to use, what you may feel, and whether a joint may pop. You can ask for a gentler approach, decline a technique, or take more time before beginning. Care can begin during the same visit.
06
We Measure Whether Your Life Is Getting Easier
We compare the task that brought you in with what you can do later. The measure may be sleep, standing after sitting, lifting your child, walking your dog, working, exercising, or returning to sport. We change the plan when progress slows and end active care when your goals have been met.
Conditions Treated With Chiropractic Care at Health Builders
Back, neck, heel, and tendon pain can make ordinary movement painful and leave you unsure which type of treatment fits the problem. These four concerns are common reasons people schedule chiropractic care at Health Builders. You can also explore the full Conditions and Symptoms page to find other concerns evaluated by our team.
Lower Back Pain and Stiffness
Lower-back pain can become a constant ache or a sharp catch that appears when you stand, bend, sit, lift, or roll over in bed. Chiropractic treatment for back pain can use controlled joint movement to reduce pain and improve function in selected cases. Your appointment also checks for weakness, numbness, trauma, and other signs that require imaging or another clinician.
Neck Pain and Limited Movement
Neck pain can make computer work, sleep, and everyday movement exhausting. You may turn your shoulders because your neck no longer moves easily or worry that one sudden motion will make the pain worse. Chiropractic care can use manipulation, slower mobilization, or another approach based on your symptoms, health history, and treatment preferences.
Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis can make the first steps of the morning feel brutal. Standing at work, walking through a store, exercising, or taking your dog outside can become harder as the day continues. Chiropractic care can address foot, ankle, calf, or connected joint movement when those limits are contributing to heel pain.
Tendonitis and Tendinopathy
Tendon pain can return every time you grip, reach, lift, run, jump, or train. You may stop trusting the affected arm or leg because the same movement keeps setting the pain off. Chiropractic care can address joint movement that changes how a painful tendon is loaded during work, exercise, or sport.
How Chiropractic Care Can Help You in Your Day-to-Day Life
Constant pain can reach into every part of your day. It can wear down your sleep, pull you away from your family, make work and household responsibilities harder, and take exercise or hobbies out of your life. Chiropractic care for back and neck pain can reduce pain and improve movement, helping you reclaim the routines, relationships, and independence that pain has disrupted.
Sleep Better and Start the Day With More Energy
Back or neck pain can wake you each time you move and make every sleeping position feel wrong. The next day begins with stiffness, exhaustion, and less patience for the people and responsibilities that need you. Chiropractic care can reduce pain and improve movement for selected back and neck problems, helping you sleep for longer stretches and begin the morning with less difficulty.
Spend More Time With Your Family and Loved Ones
Pain can change how you take part in family life. You may avoid playing on the floor, picking up your child, attending an outing, or joining activities that require bending, walking, or standing. Missing those moments can leave you feeling distant from the people you love. Chiropractic treatment can support easier movement so you can be more present with your family.
Handle Work, Chores, and Daily Responsibilities
Sitting, standing, driving, reaching, carrying groceries, and helping around the house can become exhausting when every movement hurts. You may depend on your spouse or family for tasks you once handled without thinking. Chiropractic care can address painful or restricted movement, helping you manage work and household responsibilities with less physical strain.
Return to Exercise, Hobbies, and an Active Life
Pain can push running, gym time, sports, gardening, travel, long walks, and other meaningful activities out of your routine. Losing those outlets can affect your health, independence, and sense of who you are. Chiropractic treatment can support a gradual return to activity based on your condition, your progress, and the movements you want to regain.

Meet the Team Supporting Your Chiropractic Care
Putting a painful back, neck, or joint in someone else’s hands takes trust. You need time to ask what will happen, what the movement will feel like, and what choices you have. Dr. Fuller provides your chiropractic care, while Dr. Kim and Bianca support the medical practice and the experience surrounding your appointment.
Patient Experiences With Health Builders
Hands-on care can feel vulnerable when you already fear that one movement will make the pain worse. Sharing a long pain history also requires trust. Patient stories show how our team listens, explains care, answers questions, and treats personal concerns with the seriousness they deserve.
“I wasn’t feeling well and had the pleasure of being seen and treated by Dr Kim, she was nice, patient and very knowledgeable about my condition, made me feel heard and wasn’t in a rush to get rid of me and off to her next patient. What to Expect Before, During, and After Your First Appointment for Chiropractic Care
Your first visit gives you space to explain where you hurt, what has changed, and what you want your body to handle again. You should leave understanding what was examined, what treatment is being recommended, and what happens after the visit.
Before Your Appointment
Complete the current forms and bring your medicines, supplements, prior diagnoses, treatment records, and any X-ray, MRI, or CT reports related to the problem. Write down when the pain began, which movements bring it back, and how it affects sleep, work, lifting, exercise, and family life. Wear comfortable clothing that allows the painful area to move.
During Your Appointment
You will have time to describe the pain and the parts of life it has changed. Dr. Fuller examines the painful area and checks movement, strength, sensation, reflexes, or balance when needed. He explains what he found, what treatment he recommends, and what it may feel like. Care can begin during the same visit when testing or referral does not need to come first.
After Your Appointment
Some people feel temporary soreness or stiffness after hands-on treatment. We explain what activity makes sense, when to return, and which symptoms should prompt a call. Later visits compare the movement or task that brought you in. Treatment changes when progress slows, another option becomes useful, or another clinician needs to be involved.
Ongoing Care, Costs, Insurance, and Medicare
When chiropractic care continues across several visits, we compare your pain, movement, sleep, work, and activity with your starting point. New patient appointments with Dr. Fuller range from $150 to $250, depending on your needs and the procedures performed during the visit.
Visit Frequency and Progress
Visit frequency changes with the problem, the examination, your response, and the goals being measured. Progress may be tracked through sleep, movement, strength, work, lifting, walking, exercise, or sport. When improvement slows, the diagnosis, technique, frequency, imaging need, and other treatment options should be reconsidered. Maintenance visits remain optional.
New Patient Chiropractic Cost
New patient chiropractic appointments with Dr. Fuller range from $150 to $250, depending on your needs and the procedures performed during the visit. Health Builders submits eligible Medicare claims for covered services Dr. Fuller provides. Your final responsibility depends on the covered service, deductible, coinsurance, and supplemental coverage.
Insurance and Medicare
Original Medicare Part B covers qualifying manual manipulation of the spine. Health Builders submits eligible chiropractic claims to Medicare for Dr. Fuller. Your deductible and coinsurance apply. The chiropractic examination, chiropractor-ordered X-rays, massage, acupuncture, and other services fall outside Medicare’s chiropractic benefit. Commercial insurance coverage depends on your plan and network

Questions About Chiropractic Care?
Living with pain can make every day feel harder. Tell us what hurts, what you have stopped doing, and what worries you about hands-on treatment. We can answer questions about your first appointment, current fees, Medicare, and what care may feel like before you schedule.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is generally considered safe for many adults when the treatment matches the person’s health history and examination. Temporary soreness, stiffness, or headache can occur. Recent trauma, fracture risk, severe osteoporosis, infection, cancer, progressive weakness or numbness, and certain vascular or neurologic symptoms can change the treatment choice. Sudden severe headache, dizziness, trouble speaking, vision changes, or new weakness require immediate medical attention.
Does Medicare cover chiropractic care with Dr. Fuller?
Original Medicare Part B covers manual manipulation of the spine for a documented vertebral subluxation, which is Medicare’s term for the spinal joint problem being treated. At Health Builders we submit eligible chiropractic claims to Medicare for Dr. Fuller. After the Part B deductible, you generally pay 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount for covered treatment. The examination, chiropractor-ordered X-rays, massage, acupuncture, and other services are billed separately when provided.
How long does a chiropractic appointment take?
Many chiropractic appointments last about 30 to 60 minutes. Later visits often can last as little as 10 to 20 minutes depending on what you need, with additional time used for re-examination or another treatment. At Health Builders, we will tell you how much time is reserved when your appointment is scheduled. The first visit may take longer when your history is complex, prior imaging needs review, or treatment begins that day.
Do I need X-rays before chiropractic care?
X-rays are used when the result can change the diagnosis, treatment choice, or referral decision. Bring any prior images and reports related to your pain. New imaging can be useful after significant trauma, suspected fracture, severe osteoporosis, progressive nerve symptoms, cancer, infection, inflammatory disease, or prior surgery. Medicare’s chiropractic benefit excludes X-rays ordered by a chiropractor, so imaging can involve a separate clinician, facility, and charge.
What does a chiropractic adjustment feel like, and why can a joint pop?
An adjustment usually feels like pressure followed by a brief, controlled movement. Some joints make a popping sound when pressure changes inside the joint fluid. The sound is a physical effect of movement and is never the treatment goal. Many treatments produce no sound. Slower mobilization can also move a joint through a comfortable range without a quick thrust. You can ask what the proposed technique will feel like before treatment begins.
Do I have to receive spinal manipulation or neck treatment?
You choose whether to receive any recommended technique. Tell us about fear of sudden movement, popping sounds, or neck treatment before care begins. Dr. Fuller can explain the body position, speed, force, expected sensation, and available alternatives. Slower mobilization, treatment of another area, delayed treatment, or referral may be used according to your examination and preferences.
