- IV Nutrition, Medical Ozone, and Lipid Replacement Therapy
Persistent fatigue, poor concentration, or low stamina can leave you struggling through work and with little energy left for exercise or family responsibilities. At Health Builders, we provide physician-led IV therapy in Annandale. We use your symptoms, medical needs, and test results to choose treatment and help you work toward better stamina and daily function.
What Are IV Nutrition, Medical Ozone, and Lipid Replacement Therapy?
IV nutrition delivers prescribed fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream. Medical ozone uses a measured oxygen-ozone mixture to create a controlled biological response. Lipid replacement therapy provides phospholipids used in cell and mitochondrial membranes. Each treatment serves a different purpose, and our care team explains how the treatments relate before recommending your care.
At Health Builders, we provide these treatments for patients from Annandale and across Northern Virginia. Our care team reviews your symptoms, test results, medicines, supplements, allergies, and previous treatment before making a recommendation. We explain what you will receive, why it was chosen, what to expect during your appointment, and how we will review your response.

How IV Therapy Works at Health Builders
Your appointment gives us the information needed to decide whether IV therapy addresses a specific health need. We ask about your symptoms, analyze your medical records, examine you, order testing when needed, and explain the treatment we recommend.
01
You Meet With Our Care Team
02
We Analyze Your Medical Records and Lab Results
Bring recent lab results, hospital records, specialist notes, and information from earlier treatment. We look for documented nutrient needs, kidney or liver concerns, blood-count changes, and other findings that help us choose treatment, order testing, or refer you to another doctor.
03
We Review Medicines, Supplements, Allergies, and Previous Reactions
Bring a current list of everything you take, including doses. We look for possible interactions, ingredients that affect your safety, and past reactions to IVs, medicines, supplements, or ozone. Tell us about pregnancy, fainting with needles, difficult IV placement, and allergies.
04
We Complete an Examination and Order Testing When Needed
Your examination can identify dehydration, swelling, breathing problems, signs of infection, or circulation changes that affect treatment. We order testing to confirm a nutrient need, check kidney or liver function, or answer another safety question.
05
We Recommend the Treatment and Write the Order
Our care team determines which treatment to recommend and writes the order before IV services begin. We explain what you will receive, why it was chosen, and what will happen during your appointment. You can ask about the ingredients, treatment method, expected time, cost, and symptoms we will review.
06
We Review Symptoms and Test Results as Care Continues
We ask how your symptoms changed, discuss side effects, and review lab results when testing is part of your care. We continue what is helping and change the formula or timing when needed. We end treatment after the medical need has been addressed or when another treatment or referral is recommended.
IV Therapy for Fatigue and Nutrient Needs
See how IV Nutrition has helped our patients with fatigue, brain fog, low stamina, dehydration, nutrient deficiencies, and difficulty absorbing nutrients through digestion.
Fatigue and Low Stamina
Fatigue and low stamina can make it hard to finish work, exercise, prepare meals, or stay involved with your family. When dehydration or low nutrient levels are contributing, IV nutrition can replace the prescribed fluids and nutrients your body needs.
Documented Nutrient Needs
Lab results can identify a nutrient deficiency that requires treatment. Your appointment helps determine what needs to be replaced, which route to use, which dose your health requires, and when another test or doctor is needed first.
Poor Oral Intake or Dehydration
Illness, nausea, appetite changes, vomiting, diarrhea, or trouble drinking enough can leave you weak, dizzy, or unable to keep up with daily responsibilities. We determine whether IV fluids or nutrients can address the medical need and which ingredients are safe.
Problems Using Oral Supplements
Stomach pain, nausea, swallowing problems, or side effects can make pills and powders hard to use. We identify the reason oral treatment has become difficult and determine whether IV Nutrition can provide the ordered ingredient through another route.
How IV Nutrition Can Help You
At Health Builders, IV Nutrition has helped our patients with fatigue, brain fog, low stamina, dehydration, and nutrient deficiencies. It delivers prescribed fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, which can also help when digestive problems make oral supplements difficult to tolerate or absorb.
Replace Fluids and Nutrients Your Body Needs
IV Nutrition delivers prescribed fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream. When dehydration or a nutrient deficiency is causing symptoms, replacing what your body needs can help reduce weakness, dizziness, fatigue, and poor concentration.
Help With Fatigue and Brain Fog
Dehydration and low nutrient levels can leave you physically tired and mentally drained. When either problem is contributing, IV Nutrition can help you think more clearly and get through more of your day.
Support More Stamina During the Day
Low stamina can force you to choose which responsibilities receive your limited energy. When IV Nutrition addresses the reason you feel depleted, work, exercise, meals, errands, and family responsibilities can become easier to manage.
Help When Oral Supplements Are Hard to Use
Digestive symptoms can make pills and powders difficult to tolerate or absorb. IV Nutrition delivers the prescribed nutrients into your bloodstream, giving our care team another way to address the need.
How Medical Ozone May Help With Chronic Symptoms
Medical Ozone creates a brief, controlled oxidative signal. That signal can activate Nrf2, a pathway that increases the body’s antioxidant defenses, and influence NF-κB, a pathway involved in inflammation. These effects are why Medical Ozone is studied for chronic conditions involving oxidative stress and persistent inflammatory activity. The response depends on the condition, dose, and method used.
Activates Antioxidant Defenses
Nrf2 acts as a cellular switch for antioxidant protection. When activated, it increases enzymes that help neutralize reactive molecules and protect cells from ongoing oxidative stress.
Fatigue, Brain Fog, Pain, and Low Stamina
These symptoms can occur in conditions involving oxidative stress and ongoing inflammation. The antioxidant and inflammatory responses created by Medical Ozone may help the body manage the biological strain connected with chronic symptoms.
Helps Regulate Inflammatory Signaling
NF-κB controls many of the chemical signals involved in inflammation. Medical Ozone can influence this pathway and may help the body regulate persistent inflammatory activity.
How Medical Ozone Connects With IV Therapy
Some medical ozone methods use IV access. In blood-based methods, blood is exposed outside the body to a measured oxygen-ozone mixture and returned through the IV. Our care team explains the method, appointment steps, and monitoring before treatment begins.
Lipid Replacement Therapy at Health Builders
Lipid Replacement Therapy supplies phospholipids, the fats that form the membranes surrounding your cells and the structures inside them. These membranes regulate the movement of nutrients, waste, water, and signals throughout the body. Phospholipids also form mitochondrial membranes, which help your cells produce energy. Our care team explains the exact product, route, and purpose before recommending Lipid Replacement Therapy.
Why Your Cell Membranes Need Phospholipids
Cell membranes help control what moves into and out of every cell. Lipid Replacement Therapy provides phospholipids used to build and maintain those membranes, giving the body materials it can use during cellular repair.
How Lipid Replacement Therapy Is Given
Lipid replacement therapy can use different phospholipid formulas and routes. Our care team explains the product, how you will receive it, and which ingredients or allergens require review before treatment begins.
How Phospholipids Support Cellular Energy
Mitochondria produce much of the energy your cells use, and their inner membranes are essential to that process. Oxidative stress can damage membrane lipids and interfere with mitochondrial function. Studies of membrane-lipid products have reported reduced fatigue across several patient groups.
How It Complements IV Nutrition and Medical Ozone
IV Nutrition delivers prescribed fluids and nutrients. Medical Ozone creates a controlled oxidative signal that can activate antioxidant and inflammatory-response pathways. Lipid Replacement Therapy supplies phospholipids used in cell and mitochondrial membranes. When our care team recommends a combination, we explain each treatment and how we will review your symptoms and daily function.

Questions About IV Therapy?
Call our team to ask about scheduling, treatment preparation, current pricing, or what to bring to your appointment.
Can I Schedule IV Therapy Directly?
IV services require medical review and a prescription from Dr. Kim or Andrea Kubota, FNP-BC, before treatment begins. IV and treatment-only appointments are currently available the same day or within the week, and some IV treatments can begin the same day once that review is complete.
What Is Included in an IV Nutrition Treatment?
The ingredients depend on what our care team prescribes for you. An IV may contain fluids, vitamins, minerals, or another ingredient chosen for a specific health need.
We explain every ingredient, the amount being given, and why it is included before treatment begins. Call our clinic for the current IV Nutrition menu.
Is IV Therapy Safe?
IV therapy carries risks from the IV itself and from the ingredients being given. Common problems include pain, bruising, vein irritation, swelling around the IV site, and lightheadedness. Infection, allergic reactions, electrolyte changes, and fluid overload can also occur.
Your diagnoses, kidney and heart health, medicines, supplements, allergies, and previous reactions affect what can be given safely. Our care team reviews those factors and monitors you throughout treatment.
How Often Can You Receive IV Therapy?
The schedule depends on the reason for treatment, what you receive, and how you respond. Some patients receive one treatment. Others receive a short series or continue treatment over a longer period.
Our care team explains the starting schedule and when your symptoms or lab results will be reviewed. Continued treatment is based on whether it is helping and whether it remains safe.
How Are Medical Ozone, HOCATT, Prolozone, and TruDose IV PRP Different?
Medical Ozone uses a measured oxygen-ozone mixture through the clinical method recommended by our care team. HOCATT Ozone Sauna uses a chamber. Prolozone and prolotherapy use ozone within musculoskeletal injections. TruDose IV PRP uses a platelet product prepared from your blood.
Each treatment has its own purpose, preparation, appointment steps, and safety requirements.
Does Insurance or Medicare Cover These Treatments?
Coverage depends on the treatment, provider, medical reason, and insurance plan. We do not participate with commercial insurance and do not submit claims. We can provide a superbill for commercial insurance reimbursement requests.
Dr. Kim has opted out of Medicare. Her Medicare patients use a private contract and do not receive a Medicare superbill. Call our clinic for the payment process connected with your treatment and provider.
