Andrea Kubota, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Health Builders with 22 years of nursing experience. She spent 10 years as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Oncology and Neonatal Intensive Care at Sibley Memorial Hospital, then moved into Family Nurse Practitioner work and has practiced in that role for the past 12 years.

Early in her nurse practitioner career, Andrea worked in urgent care, treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses and helping them understand healthier lifestyle choices and disease prevention. In 2023, she completed training in Functional Medicine, which deepened her interest in helping patients understand what may be contributing to illness and what can be addressed through their care.

At Health Builders, Andrea brings nursing experience, primary care training, urgent care experience, and functional medicine training to patients who want more time, more listening, and a fuller look at their health history. During your visit, she listens to your concerns, reviews your history, explains what she sees, and talks with you about treatment options.

Andrea’s work is rooted in listening, learning from patients, and helping people feel cared for during vulnerable health moments. She is passionate about helping patients feel more hopeful, informed, and supported in their care.
